Solution Architect – Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support the design and delivery of a government digital platform built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform. The Solution Architect will be responsible for defining the end-to-end solution architecture and ensuring alignment with business requirements, government ICT standards and Microsoft best practices. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, project management, and technical delivery teams to translate requirements into robust, secure and scalable solution designs. This is a Perth-based role where hybrid working is available, and on-site office-based work is required. Key Requirement - Define the end-to-end solution architecture for a Dynamics 365 and Power Platform-based solution - Develop and maintain high-level and detailed solution designs and architecture artefacts - Define integration patterns with external enterprise systems using APIs and Microsoft Azure services - Ensure solution designs meet security, performance, availability and scalability requirements - Provide architectural governance and design assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle - Support technical decision-making across development, testing and deployment activities - Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads and Developers - Ensure alignment with Microsoft best practices and government ICT policies and standards Required Skills & Experience - 7+ years’ experience in solution architecture or senior technical roles - Strong experience designing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Customer Engagement) - Strong experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse - Proven experience designing and delivering integrated enterprise solutions - Experience with Azure integration services (e.g. Logic Apps, Functions, API Management) - Strong understanding of security, identity and access management in Microsoft platforms - Experience working in government or other highly regulated environments Highly Desirable - Experience delivering digital platforms for government clients - Experience with spatial, records management or other enterprise line-of-business systems - Familiarity with UAT, deployment and transition-to-BAU processes - Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Power Platform or Azure About Us Consulcad works with organisations across all industries to deliver high-performing PMOs, business improvement initiatives and technology innovation.
