Looking for NOC specialist or someone with Z/OS mainframe experience to help mentor

I'm applying for a job as a NOC specialist and would like someone to give some useful references to study. I have a strong programming background in OOL(java specifically) and knowledge of computer memory and processes. I have read a few books on mainframes and have a basic working vocabulary. I have installed Hercules to play around with an emulated Z/OS mainframe. I still feel a bit lost using the terminal and how everything works first hand. I realize this isn't very specific but having someone to point me towards core components and skills needed for this job is a huge help. Thank you for your consideration!
