Hi, I’m looking for someone that can create and program a toolbar button extension for Libre Office Draw.
What I’m looking for is to be able to turn on and off the secondary drag and move functionality associated with objects and images using a toolbar icon. The secondary move functionality is identifiable by the normal single pointed mouse cursor with a tiny rectangular box below it. I’m thinking this would be similar to the already available “double-click to edit text” toolbar button. What I’m trying to achieve is to disable the click, hold and drag functionality associated with moving objects, while leaving the standard click and drag functionality. The standard drag is identified by the 4-pointer cursor.
I’m using Libre Draw unconventionally in a teaching capacity to manipulate drawn tiles using the snap to grid feature. I want to make sure my students can only move objects around the document using snapping. But currently if they hold onto objects too long the drag function changes from the standard 4-pointer cursor which snaps to grid to the single pointed cursor with the rectangle below it which doesn’t snap. I still want to be able to drag objects using the 4-pointer cursor. So I’m only looking to disable the drag function associated with the single point cursor. I also need to be able to still use Libre Office galleries, so this needs to be a toolbar button or setting that can be enabled / disabled.
See attached images for example.
