Job Title: Build Self-Hosted Construction Management Software (Buildertrend-Like) Description: We are a US-based General Contractor looking for an experienced software developer or team to build a custom construction management system similar to Buildertrend, but with a perpetual license and full source code ownership (self-hosted). Required Features: 1. Proposals & Estimates • Line-item estimates with cost codes, markup, taxes • Convert estimate to contract • PDF generation • Client approval (e-sign optional) 2. Project Scheduling & Client Portal • Gantt-style schedule with tasks & milestones • Client login portal • Document sharing & approvals • Change orders 3. Payments & Financial Management • Invoice creation (deposit + progress billing) • Online payment integration (Stripe or similar) • Job costing (budget vs actual) • Export to QuickBooks (optional) 4. CRM & Communication • Lead management • Email integration & templates • Appointment scheduling & reminders Technical Requirements: • Self-hosted (AWS or similar) • Perpetual license (no SaaS subscription model) • Full source code ownership • Customizable fields, workflows & templates • Secure and scalable architecture Preferred: • Experience building construction, CRM, ERP, or job-costing systems • Experience in US construction market Please include examples of similar systems you’ve built, estimated timeline, and total project cost.
