Hello, we have a script for biological analysis, phylogenetics (sorensen), our script is very simple (done by Biological persons :) ) but we are facing issues in handling memory. I did read about multicore and bigmemory packages, but we are not familiar in its use. We have a nice machine with xeon quadcore processor and 16GB ram. However the OOM killer killed the proccess after it consumes all RAM memory, and send 27GB to the disk. So, we need somebody to optimize the script to run faster optimizating the memory utilization.
