Hello, How are you today? I am confident I can make the minor changes to your data mining software. My understanding is that the software works fine, but you would like to make minor changes to what happens when a connection fails. Rather than simply failing, you would like to detect the bad connection, and rotate to a fresh working proxy and try and get the data again. A few questions if i may: 1) What is the deadline for completion? 2) How many times should the software retry a connection with different proxies? 3, 100, 1000, infinite? Choosing me as a developer is the right choice. I have a lot of experience with data mining websites and intimately understand the problems and solutions that can arise. I usually code my scraping software in C# and one of the main functionalities I implement is that the scrapper does not stop when it runs into a web page that it cannot open. In this case it will try to access the page in questions several times and if it does not succeed it will continue on to the next one. I have experience in scraping data from web from news articles and government sanction lists. That was a 10,000 rotation collection that included a job manager. It had retry functionality so that if one job failed, it re-tried a configurable amount of times, logged the error and moved on. A new re-try attempt would be done on the next rotation of that job.
