We would need to create a solution to achieve the following:
When users browse to a specific sites (List of URLs should be in the software with automatic update from server) and opens PDF, then software is "taking over" and:
* Sends (uploads) PDF in background to a webservice to handle (already existing).
* Displays a splash screen while working. Contents of the splashscreen provided by webservice via XML (existing).
* Displays message from webservice. Contents of the message provided by webservice via XML (existing). Ok/Yes/No/Cancel buttons might be needed.
* Depending on the case webservice will send a new PDF. Software retrieves new PDF from webservice and passes it to default PDF handler to open it.
Program must be as installation package for very simple installation without any configuration needed locally. Any settings should be stored/updated into a server (existing).
As a best solution we would see activeX or browser add-on or something similar to achieve this (IE recommended, FF/Chrome also acceptable). We also consider any locally installable solution in any programming language. Please indicate your way to solve it - maybe you have even better idea.
Windows platform (7, Vista, XP), English language, full copyright, full source.
With successful project - further development is absolutely necessary and already specified - future job quaranteed.
More important than anything else is to achieve the required result!
