Assignment
Music device backup based application
You’ll receive data in xml format
This data should be parsed and stored in a MySQL database using Hibernate
Users should be able to login and view their backup information i.e., tracks, playlists, and anything stored on the device in a readable layout that is easily navigated.
The application should use a tiered architecture i.e, RESTful service, EJB, JPA
XML Data
The initialisation data for your app is stored in xml format.
The example data files are available in the Dropbox folder (simply 3 found online, you may substitute or add other valid exported iPod backup xml files if you wish).
The files have been left in their full format. You may choose the level of detail stored and hence made available to users via the webapp.
The XML should be parsed using a parser of your choice, data extracted and stored in a MySQL database.
This data should be persisted and accessed using JPA.
Functionality
Users should register and have a profile that knows their username, password and Library Persistent ID (unique identifier of their backup file).
Users should be able to view their backup data info in a format that considers usability.
Users should be able to edit, move and delete content.
Dear sir,
I have read your project description I have 6+ years of experience in hibernate/jpa frameworks. Recently I have created parser which parse large json/xml files and display data to user friendly.
Please contact me and we can work together and make this app works.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Thanks,
Hi There! My understanding is the source of data is XML for Playlist, tracks which is available on dropbox. Essentially a connection to it and mapping XML to java objects using JAXB and persisting it in MySql database. Retrieval of the same at a later point is what all that I understand. Please let me know if you would like to discuss more.
