We have an old C++ 6.0 source code of the CodeMax editor control.
The source is freeware.
The result is an ActiveX control for text editing.
We want the all relevant GUIDs in the source changed.
This way we want to make sure that the version of the original and a new created OCX don’t conflict.
Both versions must run completely independent from each other.
E.g., when the original is deleted, the new version must run flawless and vice versa.
Also, the version number must be changed, it is now 126.96.36.199.
In order to do the task, Visual C++ 6.0 is needed.
Not a newer version!
The worker has to know C++ 6.0 very well.
As MSDEV doesn’t run on Windows 10, this job must be done under an older OS.
We do not want the OCX, but the altered source code.
And we must be able to compile it in here the same way as with the original.
Our compiled OCX is the reference for testing then.
The worker must test his work carefully before telling ‘It’s done’.
The final checks will happen in here.
The job must be done in a week max..
If it takes longer, we want to be informed as early as possible.
We will pay immediately after work is done and tested positive.
We will pay only for a complete done job, not for intermediate steps.
The source code to work with will be sent on request.
There is more minor work to do on this project.
This is the first task.
More will follow when this task is done, and we are 100% satisfied.
