I need a simple script to kill an application if users are not using it - one hour [variable] of inactivity.
Windows 2008 Server. Domain server environment. ~30 stations, all Windows 7 pro. The script is to monitor a process called '[url removed, login to view]'. This is an accounting/doc manager software used by most users in the office. It tends to be used very sporadically. So users open the app, and leave it running all day even thought they really needed it for 2 minutes. By closing out the application, we are freeing up licences for other users.
The office is expanding, and we are looking at smart ways to cut costs.
I would prefer if script could monitor stations from one central location (server); maybe through 'open files'... but if needed will deploy script/app at each individual stations.
From my readings the PSList/PSKill would work at a station level.
