I need a program which will take audio input and apply a convolution reverb effect and then output via ASIO device. Ideally, if the program acted as a virtual sound card in Windows so that it could receive and process the sound from any Windows program, that would be better than using ASIO as an input.
There would be minimal user interface. I really want a virtual audio "card" which can take multi-channel audio and apply a convolution reverb to it and then send it out the audio hardware, but done completely in software.
I can already do it in Windows with off the shelf software, but I need to make everything easy to install and copy protect.
I would provide the IR for the convolution reverb. Those files would have to be encrypted to prevent copying.
Eventually I would like to re-purpose the code for use on OSX and even iOs or Android if possible. I assume the reverb code, if written in C++ could be used cross platform. Of course the audio I/O would have to be platform specific.
