I have built a sheet in excel which currently serves a purpose, but would like to take that sheet and apply it to an online tool.
The essence of the sheet is to take a monthly figure (the budget) and subtract that against a figure (budget spent) to calculate how much is remaining for the month. This figure is then divided up by the number of days remaining in the month to produce a "daily budget available" figure.
Then, there are several categories and these categories are assigned a percentage. That percentage is then multiplied by the "daily budget available" to calculate what value is available for that category on a single day. The user should be able to add categories when they wish. I have attached a simple sheet showing the tool in excel.
