Z-Wave is the international protocol for wireless communication is smart Home. Devices of different vendors work together in one single wireless network
controlled by a central controller. Z-Way is a software to implement this central controller. Z-Way organizes the network and allows to control device,e.g.
read sensor value to control actors. Z-Way offers a REST API based on JSON and has a reference implementation of an AJAX GUI for browsers.
The task is rewrite this reference GUI in HTM/CSS/JS to improve the look'n feel and to enhance some functionality.
The whole system and the GUI is described in a users and a developers manual available on [url removed, login to view] (Section Support -> Manuals). There is also a life wireless network in a demo home to test the GUI against. This means that all code can be written without having a wireless system in the own home but to use a remote IP service.
The list of changes will be provided in detail but contain
- Regrouping the menu
- using the latest JQuery functions for display of sensors etc
- Change CSS to adapt to PAD/Phone usage
- Minor changes in UI
All needed function are already implemented in the current UI, that is available as life online demo unter [url removed, login to view] with ID=10382 and password=demo. Its more or less this function set (without the tab "MAP" that implements a drag'n drop floor plan) that needs to be implemented. Major parts of the current code, e.g. the job queue inspection or the data visualization can just be reused to save time. Nevertheless it make sense to rewrite the basics of the Ui based on a frame work of choice e.g. JQuery.
It is acceptable to quote for the pure redesign of the UI with new CSS an PD/PHONE optimized GUI plus regrouping of the menu structure. The changed above and beyond this are minor and can be negotiated separately.
