Qbasic or C functions. Legacy DOS.

A worker is needed to write functions or subroutine in C or QuickBASIC.

This is for a small embedded testing utility to be run on the MS-DOS platform.

OpenWatcom, Turbo C or QuickBASIC compiler.

You will be required to read and write to a generic device attached to the parallel port.

The values are returned in bytes which must be formed with other bytes to form an integer.

The result will be stored or read as global variables.

You will also have to read/write character strings to and from the device.

These are stored and read as global variables.

Light parsing is required.

The parallel port will be operating in EPP mode.

Please see attachment for details.

Is there a particular hardware to which the signals are to be sent. How would I be able to test the code without a hardware. Regards, Sawan
