Position Overview
- Active personal involvement in social media is a must.
- Moderate forums and chats.
- Initiate conversation through facebook, forums, twitter and postings.
- Prepare status reports on social media efforts and success rates.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of and interest in social media
- Prior experience in managing social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube
- Keen understanding of the dynamics of social content dissemination across multiple channels
- Experience managing high volume of content development and publishing would be a plus
- Commercially minded, believes in the power of brands, excited at the prospect of interacting with people online on behalf of a consumer brand
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
- Strong organization skills
- Strong business writing, storytelling, communication skills
- Ability to operate in a systematic and logical manner, with use of good judgment
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and to remain graceful under pressure

I have had my own business for 3 years and have promoted it on several social media sites. I have a small business consulting/QuickBooks consulting company and a few other businesses. I write blogs for a few of my sites and enjoy the writing process.
I have done social media consulting for a few different people/companies. One was an author trying to promote his book. Another was a nutritional supplement company that was fairly new to the market. I enjoy helping companies promote themselves and build a successful business.
