Shopify Slide Out Cart Upsell Fix

I'm looking for a skilled Shopify developer to help with an issue in my slide out cart. Currently, when a user attempts to add an upsell item, they are redirected to a new page. I want this to be fixed so that the upsell item gets added to the cart without any redirection. In addition, if possible, I would like to have a "Shop this amount to get free shipping" progress bar added to the upsell functionality. Please note, the theme in question is unpublished and I can provide you with access to it.
