Casual Wear Alterations Expert

I need an experienced seamstress or tailor who can take charge of day-to-day alterations on mostly casual garments. You’ll spend the bulk of your time perfecting fits on jeans, chinos, shirts, summer dresses, and other pieces made from cotton and linen. Clean stitching, balanced seams, and invisible repairs are non-negotiable. While casual wear is our core volume, I do receive occasional special-event pieces that must look flawless. When these projects come in you should be comfortable switching gears to handle: • Suits and tuxedos • Evening gowns and dresses • Wedding attire Customers drop items in, I measure and pin with them on site, then pass the work to you. Turnaround is typically three to five business days unless marked rush. You will have access to industrial lock-stitch and overlock machines, a walking-foot for heavier cottons, steam irons, and pressing tables; feel free to suggest additional tools you rely on. Deliverables for each order: • Finished garment fitting exactly to the marked measurements • Pressed and ready for pickup, threads trimmed, no chalk marks • Simple job card noting what was done and the time taken If precision sewing, a sharp eye for fit, and friendly client interaction sound like your strengths, let’s talk about scheduling and workflow.
