We use email to market our services. We collect numerous lists of email addresses from different sources. We currently have around 100 lists labelled a1?a100. The number of lists will increase over time.
When we receive orders we want to know from which lists (a1?a100) these orders came.
So for example, for a particular product we have a list of 400 orders - each with an email address.
For a different product we have a list of 300 orders - each with an email address
We also collect lists of unsubscribe emails.
Currently I use google desktop and search individually each of the emails that appears in orders list and note down which of the files (a1 through to a100) these emails occur.
I would like to have some code that can do this automatically.
The email files are CSVs - typically two columns, with the second column containing the emails.
What I would like as output is a file with a1 through a100 in the left hand column then in the next column a number indicating how many orders were derived from this list.
It needs to be expandable so that as we launch new products or have more contact lists I can determine the same information.
