Job Title: Tanzania-Based Sales & Market Research Agent (Fashion/Apparel – Lingerie) | 3–6 Month Project Job Overview: We are an established Indian apparel brand (10+ years) expanding into the Tanzania market. We are looking for a local sales & market research agent based in Tanzania to help us understand the market, build distribution, and drive initial sales. This is a 3–6 month project, with the potential to convert into a long-term/full-time role based on performance and business growth. Key Responsibilities / Deliverables: 1. Market Research & Insights Identify key cities, retail hubs, and sales channels (offline + online) Analyze pricing benchmarks, competitor brands, and product positioning Share insights on customer preferences, sizing trends, and buying behavior Provide weekly reports with actionable insights 2. Retail & Distribution Outreach Identify and connect with potential distributors, retailers, and wholesalers Set up meetings (virtual or in-person) with relevant buyers Build a pipeline of potential partners 3. Sales & Negotiation Support Present our products to retailers/distributors Assist in price discussions and closing initial orders Help us understand local negotiation practices and expectations 4. On-ground Marketing Support Suggest local marketing strategies (retail, influencer, WhatsApp, etc.) Coordinate basic promotional activities if required Share feedback on branding, packaging, and communication 5.
