Paid on delivery
I am building a full-scale humanoid platform and need an engineer who can take the lead on the hardware stack while collaborating closely on the supporting firmware and mechanical layout. Hardware is my immediate priority: I must integrate a dense network of proximity, vision, and touch sensors—on par with the performance you see in Unitree robots—alongside high-torque actuators and a responsive real-time control system. You will help me move from concept to manufacturable design. That includes selecting sensor models, sizing and specifying actuators, drafting control-board schematics, and ensuring all components talk together reliably over a high-speed bus. I already have rough kinematic requirements and a preferred processor family; your job is to refine, simulate, and document the solution so my fabrication partner can start cutting metal as soon as we sign off. Deliverables • Detailed system architecture diagram covering sensors, actuators, and control loops • Schematics, PCB layout files, and BOM for the controller and sensor boards • Mechanical mounting drawings showing how each board and actuator interfaces with the chassis • Reference firmware or middleware stubs that verify sensor acquisition and actuator command paths • A brief validation plan describing how we can bench-test each subsystem before assembly Acceptance criteria • All sensors deliver update rates and accuracy comparable to current Unitree specs • Closed-loop latency from sensor input to actuator command does not exceed 5 ms in bench tests • Documentation is complete enough for a contract manufacturer to quote without further questions If this sounds like your wheelhouse, let’s talk timelines and start iterating on the first prototype immediately.
