Have rifle cheek rest prototype, need a prototype modeled in a .prt or .asm file for CREO 1.0. A mold model needs to be created to injection mold this as a plastic part. Hand Built prototype I built is rough, uneven and pitted but functions. I want a CAD/CAM file to prototype using subtraction machining (milling) and then a mold file for injection molding.
This product is a 2 part system...Upper/outer part has female slide rail and Falcon cut into each side. Falcon beak will be laser etched on each side with the contours of the right side Falcon on hand made prototype being most accurate to way I want.
Lower/inner part has male slide rail and existing, reverse engineered Solidworks model of original part that slides onto the rifle stock. I can forward this model to you. The interior male rails of this part must match and fit tightly with the female rails of the rifle stock.
Hand-built prototype has correct angle of slide and is working. I want low profile, built in plastic slides to keep width of Upper no wider than necessary or at least no wider than hand built prototype. Even though the Lower/inner part is slightly tapered, the Upper part must slide uniformly and with some friction to be adjusted to it’s full range without use of “stop buttons” so when user rests his cheek on upper, it does not slide to lower positions unless user adjusts it by hand.
