I have a Navisworks‐based 3D structural steel model that shows only raw geometry—no useful metadata. I need every visible steel member and plate manually measured, identified and scheduled, then transferred into a clear, filterable Excel bill of quantities. You will be opening the Navisworks file, interpreting the shapes directly on screen and extracting lengths, weights and plate areas. Feel free to bring the model into Tekla, Revit or Advance Steel if that streamlines your workflow; the important point is that the final quantities come from your own manual take-off rather than any automated tag export. Deliverables • One Excel BOQ listing each member and plate line-by-line, with section size, length/area, weight and subtotal tonnages. • A brief comments tab noting any assumptions or clashes you discovered. Acceptance criteria • Quantities reconcile against spot checks in the model. • All steel members and plates are captured—no missing elements. • File opens cleanly in Excel 2016+ without macros or protected cells. Experience on Australian commercial or industrial steel packages will help you understand the typical connection and fabrication conventions, but it isn’t mandatory.
