The role covers three core tasks: producing certified design drawings, running full structural analysis, and providing ongoing construction supervision to ensure the work on site matches what we have on paper. Because this is a ground-up build, everything must comply with the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards for steel and concrete. I usually coordinate in Revit and AutoCAD, so fluency with those—or compatible BIM and analysis tools such as ETABS or SPACE GASS—is important for a smooth exchange with the architect and services consultants.
