Retail Operations Consultant – Experience Centre Setup (Architectural Materials Industry)

MaterioScape is a curated architectural material experience centre being developed in Coimbatore / Avinashi, Tamil Nadu. The studio is architect-led and focuses on: Curated material selection Visualization-driven selling Design-based material consultation Premium positioning (not price-based retail) We are currently in the pre-launch stage and seeking an experienced Retail Operations Consultant to help structure and systemize the entire business before physical launch. This is a strategic planning + operations setup project, not a basic admin role. OBJECTIVE OF THIS CONSULTING ROLE To design and implement a complete retail operations framework for a material experience centre, including: Supplier onboarding systems Inventory planning model (low-stock, curated model) Pricing & margin strategy Quotation & billing workflow CRM & lead management SOP creation Sales process mapping Vendor coordination systems Installation coordination workflow Return & replacement policy Financial discipline structure The goal is to launch MaterioScape with clear systems, minimal chaos, and long-term scalability. SCOPE OF WORK The consultant should help design: 1️⃣ Retail Operations Framework End-to-end workflow (Enquiry → Quotation → PO → Delivery → Installation → After-sales) Defined roles & responsibilities Escalation flow Documentation structure 2️⃣ Supplier Management System Supplier onboarding SOP Price negotiation framework MOQ & lead time tracking system Sample tracking system Quality control checklist 3️⃣ Sales & CRM System Lead tracking format Sales funnel mapping Follow-up process Customer profiling model Conversion tracking method 4️⃣ Pricing & Margin Model Category-wise margin structure Installation markup strategy Project vs retail pricing differentiation Discount control mechanism 5️⃣ Inventory & Procurement Strategy Low inventory curated model Fast-moving SKU planning Project-based procurement system Reorder tracking method 6️⃣ Finance & Control System Cash flow structure Vendor payment schedule Advance collection policy Basic MIS reporting format Profit tracking model 7️⃣ SOP Manual Creation The consultant must deliver: Written Standard Operating Procedures Templates Checklists Process diagrams All systems must be practical and implementable for a startup team.
