Please find attached a recent publication on the importance of continuing to study parasite life-cycles. Bat helminth parasites (also attached) and most of these have unknown life-cycles. Therefore, one possibility is that we could design a research project that investigates the life-cycles of these parasites. Knowing the intermediate host(s) is of importance for a number of reasons. For example, one of the bat parasites is responsible for transmitting the bacterium that causes Potomac Horse Fever and this knowledge allows us to think about designing disease prevention measures.
