A three act play which centers on a decision by a Republican US congressman/woman up for re-election in 18 months time. He/she needs to decide what policy to present to voters re globalisation: to follow Trump's America First anti-globalist stance or to adopt a more generous 'globalism is good' position. There needs to be some political calculation here. But also the concerns for morality. The congressional district (ie the constituency) concerned is in the Mid-West but contains some voters who have suffered under the effect of cheap foreign imports and others who have benefitted from them. As this congressman/woman has ambitions for running for the presidency, someday, he/she has to consider the national interest in this matter, not just the constituency interest.
