I am a consultant whose largest client is going through the process of formalizing its human resources and training department over the next 12 months. To make this process easier for all stakeholders, I am working with four teams of managers within the organization to develop the design and infrastructure required to execute this project successfully. For this specific task, critical evaluation and comparison of these training models are needed:
Instructional system design (ISD),
Performance-based training (PBT)
Criterion-referenced instruction (CRI)
Please include the following:
• Describe each model and discuss how the model supports training and is linked to business strategy.
• Provide pros and cons for each model.
• Describe the potential use of each model.
• Compare and contrast the models.
Although your professional experience has great value, best practices must be validated by research from other experts in the field. I have some articles that I can share with you related to each training model or you can use your own personal collection. I have attached a few for your review. The team of managers does not have time to read through large documents, and I have found that six pages are the happy medium of what they can tolerate and what the senior leadership validates as sufficient for the contract terms. This analysis is the first task in a series of ongoing tasks, so I am looking for a long-term partnership.
