We are an online auto parts company and we are starting to officially sponsor a variety of popular automotive forums online. We need a gearhead who can monitor our select forums daily and respond to people who are asking auto-related questions on them. Basically, you're helping people out (you don't have to know EVERYTHING, you can do some research if you need to), and what we get out of it is each post you put up for us has our signature, phone #, and marketing message. Also, if people are looking for a certain part, you might have to find that matching part on our website and recommend it to them along with a discount. You have to present our company in a positive light (we ARE a great company btw), and if you ever come across people who have been unhappy with our service in the past or to come, you have to alert us of the post, and work together with us to fix their situation and make the customer happy, and update the forum thread to reflect to others that we've taken care of the situation. So there MIGHT be a little bit of general, basic customer service/support that you might have to handle (working hand-in-hand with us, of course). But mostly, you'll be helping people out with automotive-related questions.
Good English writing skills are a must. Previous auto-mechanical experience is strongly recommended.
You will be paid by the # of successful postings you put up. We will periodically look through your posts to verify the validity of your answers and posting content.
We're looking to spend around $15/hr for this task. If said person turns out to be good at this, you may have work for years on end. Work at your leisure in terms of when you want to work, as long as you check in daily (Sundays not required. Saturdays would be nice).
