I'd rather burn a day early confirming the actual event payloads and reconnect behavior on your Rust/Axum side than guess and redo it in week three. Expo plus EAS Build is the right shape for this since it gets you signed Android and iOS binaries off a cloud build queue without anyone needing a Mac locally, and EAS Update on top means small fixes after submission don't need a full store resubmission. For the WebSocket piece, the plan is a single connection manager that opens on entering the audit-monitor screen, replays missed events from the last known sequence number or timestamp on reconnect, and falls back to a REST poll if the socket drops for more than a few seconds so a flaky connection never leaves someone staring at a frozen progress bar.
