Project Overview We are looking for an experienced Mobile App Developer to build a mobile application for Valkra, an AI-powered smart contract security analysis platform. Valkra already has a working web application built with [login to view URL], TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Rust/Axum backend, PostgreSQL, Redis, and distributed Rust workers. The mobile app will be built based on the existing web version and backend. This is not a greenfield product — you will first need to understand the existing platform and then translate the core functionality into a clean, modern mobile experience. About Valkra Valkra provides automated security analysis for smart contracts across multiple blockchain ecosystems. The platform includes: * AI-powered vulnerability analysis * Smart contract security scanning * Static and AST-based analysis * Fuzzing and dynamic analysis * Multi-language and multi-blockchain support * Audit management * Real-time audit progress through WebSockets * Detailed vulnerability findings * Audit report generation and viewing Mobile App Scope The mobile application should provide the most important functionality of the existing web platform, including: * User authentication * Dashboard * Create/submit a new audit * Select blockchain/project information * Monitor audit progress * Real-time audit status updates * View completed audits * View vulnerability findings * View audit reports * Search/filter audit history * Notifications * User/account settings The exact mobile scope will be finalized after reviewing the existing web application and codebase. Technology We are open to discussing the best mobile technology, but we are primarily considering: * React Native + TypeScript * Expo where appropriate * Flutter if there is a strong technical reason The mobile app will communicate with the existing backend APIs rather than duplicating the analysis engine. The existing backend is built with Rust/Axum, with PostgreSQL, Redis, distributed workers, AI/LLM integrations, and WebSocket-based real-time updates. Important Requirements We are looking for someone who has: * Strong mobile development experience * React Native/TypeScript or Flutter experience * Experience integrating REST APIs * WebSocket/realtime experience * Experience with authentication and secure API integration * Good understanding of responsive/mobile UX * Experience working with existing codebases * Ability to understand a complex backend and existing product before implementing the app * Experience with Web3/blockchain applications is a strong advantage You do not need to rebuild Valkra's AI/security analysis engine. The existing backend and workers will remain responsible for the heavy analysis processing. Web3 / dApp Direction We are also evaluating whether Valkra should evolve into a Web3-enabled application. Potential future functionality may include: * Wallet connection * Web3 authentication * Blockchain-based audit verification * On-chain audit records * Crypto/stablecoin payments * IPFS/Arweave decentralized report storage * Direct smart-contract address analysis For the initial mobile version, we want the architecture to be flexible enough to support these features later. Your Responsibilities 1. Review the existing Valkra web application and repository. 2. Understand the existing API and authentication architecture. 3. Identify the core web workflows that should be included in the mobile app. 4. Recommend the appropriate mobile technology and architecture. 5. Build the mobile application. 6. Integrate the existing APIs and WebSocket functionality. 7. Implement a polished mobile UI/UX. 8. Test the application thoroughly. 9. Prepare the app for Android and iOS deployment. 10. Hi, REAL_31 I’d approach this as a mobile extension of your current product, not a rebuild, with the main focus on keeping audit status, findings, reports, and real-time updates fully in sync with your Rust/Axum backend and WebSocket flow. I can help design a flexible mobile structure that supports the MVP now and leaves room for future wallet login, on-chain audit records, and storage options. My first step would be to review the web app, API auth, and live update flow, then map the core mobile journeys: login, create audit, track progress, view results, and browse history. I’ll focus on clean API state handling, secure authentication, stable WebSocket reconnects, and a mobile-friendly UI for long audit data. Initial focus: Review current architecture Map mobile MVP screens and flows Confirm auth and API patterns Test WebSocket status updates Plan for future Web3 features Timeline: I can review the current setup first and then define the mobile MVP scope and implementation plan quickly after that. One question: should the mobile MVP include wallet connection now, or should I design the architecture for it and add it later?

I can do this Job! For a Mobile App Developer Needed – Build Mobile App from Existing Web Platform, the key is not just the screens but keeping the API and platform-specific behavior stable across devices. Relevant fit: Mobile App Development, Typescript, Blockchain with milestone-driven delivery. Key scope I would cover: Mobile App Development implementation risks and acceptance criteria; Typescript integration points and edge cases. If helpful, I can outline the first milestone around the riskiest part of the build before we start. Quick question: What part of this build has caused the most delivery risk so far: architecture, integrations, or product clarity? Also, if we align on the core scope first, would you prefer the first milestone to focus on a stable MVP foundation or on feature breadth? Best, Dr. Syafiq

Hello!, I am a US-based senior software engineer and I’d be a strong fit for turning your existing web platform into a clean, reliable mobile app. What usually hurts these projects is not just building the app, but making sure the mobile experience matches the web logic, API behavior, and any blockchain-related flows without breaking anything. My approach is practical: 1) review your current web platform and map the key user journeys 2) define the mobile MVP and edge cases 3) build the app in React Native with TypeScript 4) integrate APIs carefully, then test auth, data sync, and blockchain touchpoints 5) polish UI, fix performance issues, and prepare for launch I focus on making the app feel native, stable, and easy to maintain, while keeping the codebase clean for future updates. Relevant work I’ve handled includes a fintech wallet companion app, a SaaS operations app with live API sync, a blockchain dashboard app, and an e-commerce admin mobile companion. Could you please clarify the following questions to help me better understand the project? 1) Is this a full 1:1 mobile version of the web platform, or a streamlined MVP with only the most important flows? 2) Do you already have the backend/API ready for mobile, or should I help identify and adjust endpoints? 3) Are there any blockchain-specific actions in the app, such as wallet connection, transactions, or token tracking? I pay close attention to the details because that’s usually what makes the difference between

REAL_31 Hi! This is something we can definitely handle — the stack and integration patterns here are familiar ground for us. Before I put a firm proposal together, the one thing that shifts the scope most is the Web3 direction: how seriously are you considering it for the initial release, versus treating it as a future-phase concern? If wallet connection and on-chain verification need to be wired in from day one, the architecture decisions start earlier and the effort changes meaningfully. If it's truly phase two, we can design for it without building it now. On how we'd build it: React Native with Expo is the right call here — it gets you a single codebase for Android and iOS, plays well with TypeScript, and handles WebSocket-based real-time updates cleanly. Authentication and secure API integration against the Rust/Axum backend is straightforward; we'd follow the same auth flow the web app already uses rather than introducing anything new. The audit submission and progress monitoring screens are the core of the mobile experience, so we'd get those working end-to-end first — that's what you'll want to put in front of real users before polishing the rest. Report viewing, search, and notifications follow once the main loop is solid. Our process would start with a review of the existing codebase and API surface before committing to final scope, which is exactly the approach you described preferring. Gustavo & the DoTheCode team

The trade-off is real vs. mocked WebSocket data during the build. Auth, dashboard, list views and settings all wire cleanly against REST from day one, but the audit-progress screen either gets built against a mocked event stream first (fast, but risks a rewrite once the real channel's message shape surfaces) or against your live socket from the start (slower to get the first screen up, but no surprises later). I'd rather burn a day early confirming the actual event payloads and reconnect behavior on your Rust/Axum side than guess and redo it in week three. Expo plus EAS Build is the right shape for this since it gets you signed Android and iOS binaries off a cloud build queue without anyone needing a Mac locally, and EAS Update on top means small fixes after submission don't need a full store resubmission. For the WebSocket piece, the plan is a single connection manager that opens on entering the audit-monitor screen, replays missed events from the last known sequence number or timestamp on reconnect, and falls back to a REST poll if the socket drops for more than a few seconds so a flaky connection never leaves someone staring at a frozen progress bar. Everything else, findings, reports, history search, notifications, settings, rides the same REST client and auth token your web app already uses, so there's no parallel backend logic to maintain. M1: auth + navigation shell + REST client wired to existing API, $850, 5d. M2: dashboard + submit/monitor audit screens with the WebSocket manager, $1050, 6d. M3: findings and reports viewer, search/filter history, $850, 5d. M4: notifications + settings + offline/error states, $700, 4d. M5: EAS Build pipeline, store submission prep, device testing pass, $800, 5d. Send me the repo and I'll have a tighter number tomorrow.

Hi there! I see you're looking to transform your existing web platform into a mobile app, which is a great way to enhance user accessibility. Your goal of delivering a seamless mobile experience is crucial, and I'd love to help achieve that. I noticed you require skills in Typescript, Blockchain, and React Native. Could you clarify if there are any specific features or functionalities from the web platform that must be prioritized in the app? Also, how do you envision the API integration working in this context? To mitigate risks, we could break the project into phases: starting with a prototype to validate core functionalities, followed by iterative development based on your feedback. Some similar things I've built include a mobile app for a regional tutoring platform, an internal tool for a property management company, and a marketplace app focused on local artisans. Looking forward to discussing this further!

(REAL 31) Your backend and web platform already define the product logic, so this mobile project is really about choosing the right surface area for v1 and making sure realtime audit monitoring, findings review, and report access feel natural on a phone. The first step should be a codebase and API review so the mobile app is built around the existing auth model, websocket events, and audit lifecycle instead of guessing from the feature list. I’ve handled mobile work where the backend was mature but the client needed a clean app layer over it, including secure API integration, live status/state updates, and data-heavy account dashboards. Given Valkra’s current stack, I’d lean toward React Native with TypeScript for shared language consistency and faster alignment with your existing frontend patterns unless there’s a strong platform-specific reason to go Flutter. I’d also keep the internal structure ready for future wallet connection and Web3 authentication so those can be added as modules instead of forcing major rework later. - Do you already have mobile-ready API documentation, or would the app planning phase include endpoint review and cleanup? - Should push notifications be part of the first release, or are in-app realtime updates enough for the initial milestone? - Are audit reports currently HTML/PDF based, and how do you want them presented inside mobile?
