Python script to fix xliff files.

Pendo is a Help tool used for helping a user with something new in a product, it guides them through by going step-by-step. To localise/translate a guide, we export an xlf file, translate it & import it. When the localisation/xliff file is downloaded from this tool, there are 2 issues for me. 1) all the code is on one line, this makes it hard to read. 2) the target tags are empty and some localisation tools need the string to be IN THOSE tags. (it takes the string from between <target></target>, uploads to the localisation tool, and on export replaces the string between the tags. If those tags are empty, the tool thinks the file is empty). I need a small python script too a) copy the text between the <source></source> tags & paste that text between the <target></target> tags (but keeping the text in the source tags as well). This is the important bit. b) fix the layout e.g pretty xml the file - something like what this site can do. If there is a line in the python script where I can change it, that would be good. Ideally the target xlf file has the same name as the source xlf file. e.g. [login to view URL] [login to view URL] generates [login to view URL] - something like that.
