I have a small (working) Python project for calculating section properties ("[login to view URL]" attached). I ideally would like it to be translated into Visual Basic, however I am prepared to accept C# as a worst case that I can make function calls to as a DLL.
I have done an initial pass myself using an online converter ("Visual [login to view URL]" attached), however there is still work left to be done.
There are 3 libraries required for the Python code to run that will need .NET replacements:
1. "NumPy", for which an equivalent .NET library port exists in NuGet (and is included in "Visual [login to view URL]")
2. "Triangles", for which I believe the closest is [login to view URL] ([login to view URL]).
3. "SciPy", for which I have not been able to find an equivalent .NET library. However, the only method we use from this library is Brent's method for calculating the roots of an equation ([login to view URL]), so this can be replaced with a C#/VB function based on either Bisection or Brent's method ([login to view URL]).
Alternatively, if possible, can the Python code (with above libraries) can be compiled into a single file (i.e. like a DLL) that can be called from a WinForms application without requiring the end user to install Python? This would also be acceptable.
