Google Cloud Storage - fast question

I am in need for an imediate answer to following question:

- using gsutil to upload a file to Google Cloud Storage bucket is much slower than uploading the same file per WebUI ...!

- How can I speed up gsutil cp command to be using my ful upload bandwidth? maybe by disabling the "resumable" ulpoad function - but HOW ??

Please help, I will release the milestone right ahead :)

May the fastest freelancer get the easy money :))

regards, Theo K.

Hello. What OS are you using? Do you transfer single file or many? What is the average size of a file? When transferring a file what is the cpu usage by the gsutil process? Can you provide me with login to your target Flere

Hi. There is a parallel mode for that gsutil which can be used and it will determine how automatically how much bandwidth to use. Plus, you can specify how many threads/process to use for it. Also, depending on Flere

Not an expert in GCS. But have you tried: 1. enabling parallel upload? looking at their docs here [login to view URL] Seems there is option -m for multiple files paralle Flere

Use : 1. A google cloud region for your gs bucket closest to your own location. 2. Use compression with gsutil and parallel upload. gsutil -o GSUtil:parallel_composite_upload_threshold=150M cp -z bigfile gs://your-buck Flere
