Construction cost estimate (Miami, FL)

Acquire local contractor bids within 5 miles of Miami FL 33138.

Goal:

1. A preliminary project construction drawing set is attached and updates will be provided.

Send the PDFs (Bid list, Preliminary construction plans & bid evaluation form) to at least 3 contractors for each trade and return to our office 3 or more bids per trade by email. CC our company email on all communications and email us any questions from phone calls. We recommended to contact at least 5 contractors per trades because some may be inactive. Email then follow up with a phone call to get the required information. Request the bid from these 18 trade divisions:

Insulation/waterproofing

Finishes (paint, resilient flooring, exterior wood boards)

Plumbing rough - piping/fixtures installation

Electrical rough

Find and contact active, local trade contractors, within 5 miles of the job site (or further if necessary) but must be in Miami Dade county and get a qualified bid. Search for contractors in [login to view URL], Google Maps, Florida dbpr license search or thumbtack website. Please document if bidders provide multiple divisions (e.g. concrete and steel) or only parts of a division in the XLS excel bid list.

Ask for qualified bid by email, to include:

- contact information: contact name, company name/dba, phone, email, Florida business license #

- PDF or email bid by the company/individual

- job cost, referencing the project name & release date

- description of the general work to be completed

- list of any bid alternates (materials or systems contrary to the specifications)

- list of any scope of work not included or given allowance

- estimated lead time due to current work

- expected number of business days/weeks to complete the work

- at least 3 years active business as a commercial contractor in South Florida

- must have a website or PDF portfolio with job photos

2. Coordinate with our team to resolve any questions on your end in discussion with the trade contractors. Forward the any questions from phone calls to our email for review.

3. Update the XLS excel file with contractor names that are contacted, bids received, and bid amount as bids come in.

Payment: Your bid is for all 12 qualified bids. You must contact all of the contractors necessary to get at least 3 qualified bids per trade division. You will be paid in full once all 54 bids are in. Partial payment will be provided as requested based on percentage of qualified bids delivered.
