I am in the final steps of finishing a book focused on the world of ‘Management Consulting’. My goal is to try out a Copy Editor + Proofreader on a freelance basis. If we both find each other mutually suitable, I have many more chapters in addition to the two I will include as part of this project.
For starters, I would like to get your talented eye (and mind!) to improve my language for the first two chapters of my book that are roughly 23,000 and 21,000 words in length (and a few Figures), respectively. I am especially weak in punctuation, syntax, tense, tone and, to some extent, grammar.
If you find this interesting, can you please give me a fixed price in USD of how much you would charge for this work (approx. 45K words)? All suggested edits to be done in MS Word using their review tracking features.
I would like to have a confidentiality agreement executed before you start this work.
