I’m launching a new line of hand-poured candles and need a skilled perfumer to build the scent from the ground up. The brief is to create a truly original commercial product fragrance—this isn’t a tweak of an existing oil or a personal perfume, but a brand-defining blend that smells exceptional both cold and hot in a soy-coconut wax base. Scope • Translate my brand mood—warm, sophisticated, gender-neutral—into three distinct draft accords. • Refine one chosen direction through two feedback rounds to reach the final formula. • Deliverables: full formula in weight percentages, IFRA/conformity documentation, recommended supplier list, and a 50 g concentrate for burn tests. What matters • Proven experience with aroma chemicals, naturals, and regulatory limits for candle use. • Attention to cost-effectiveness at scale without sacrificing olfactive impact. • Ability to anticipate throw performance, colour stability, and safety in wax. • I have chosen fragrances I would like to create I’ll handle test burns in-house and share detailed notes so we can iterate quickly.
