Outer tool casing for a chalkline. We currently hold the patent to an industrial/utility patent for a handled chalkline (US 6,895,679 patent) and would like to change the EXTERIOR look, meaning to redesign the two exterior clamshells. The designer will need to mimic the styling cues of a major established tool manufacturer (Irwin Mach6 or Stanley). We will provide physical samples of the existing tools (via FedEx) that may be used as a template as well as the provided pictures/drawings as found in the attached zip file. You do not need to model the interior workings (gears, fastners, etc) as we will be utilizing existing products. The images/rapid prototype will be utilized in our marketing. If you have any prototyping experience, we will pay extra for this (see below). Preference for CAD software is Solidworks.
The chosen bid MAY not be the lowest bid, but will reflect the fluid nature of the work scope. The two components will be 1) drawings 2) camera ready artwork and/or rapid prototyping (more will be paid for this). You may bid to do the one component without needing to do the next component.
If the winning bidder impresses us with his initial design, we will award the next design as well.
