I want a complete approval workflow built in Power Automate that plugs straight into an existing SharePoint list. The process is simple: when an item (or document) is created or edited the flow should fire, send a single approval request to a defined Microsoft 365 group, wait for the first response, and then continue. If the item is approved the flow must: • send an email confirmation to the original requester (using Outlook connector) • update the same SharePoint list item with an “Approved” status and any comments returned by the approver If it is rejected, the flow should mark the item as “Rejected” and notify the requester with the approver’s comments. Please package the finished solution with: • the exported .zip of the flow for easy import • a short step-by-step setup/read-me so I can swap out list names, group IDs, and email templates without breaking anything • screenshots (or a quick Loom) that show the run history for a successful approval and a rejection, proving each branch works No third-party connectors are required—stick to native Power Automate, SharePoint and Outlook. If you need temporary access, I can provide a test site and group. I’d like this delivered ready to import and use, cleanly named, and following Microsoft’s best practices for actions, variables, and error handling.

Good to see this project, I will build this approval flow using native Power Automate, SharePoint, and Outlook connectors, with proper scoping, try/catch error handling, and clean variable naming so it is easy to maintain. I will include the exported .zip, a setup readme with placeholders for list names and group IDs, and Loom walkthroughs of both the approved and rejected branches from run history. One question: does the SharePoint list already have the Status and Comments columns, or should I include a setup step for those? Send me a message and we can go over the details. Best regards, Kamran

Hi, I can build the Power Automate approval workflow using only native SharePoint, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 approval actions. The flow would trigger when a SharePoint item or document is created/modified, send one approval request to the defined Microsoft 365 group, wait for the first response, then update the same list item based on the outcome. I would structure it cleanly with clear action names, variables for list name/group/email templates, basic error handling, and separate approved/rejected branches. Approved items would update status to “Approved,” store approver comments, and notify the requester. Rejected items would update status to “Rejected” and email the requester with the rejection comments. Deliverables would include the exported flow `.zip`, setup README, and screenshots or Loom showing both successful approval and rejection run history. Question 1: Is the requester stored in a SharePoint Person column, Created By, or a custom email field? Question 2: Do you already have Status and Approver Comments columns in the list, or should they be added as part of setup? Regards, Houssame

Hey, We will build your SharePoint approval flow in Power Automate: trigger on item create/edit, route to your M365 group, then branch for Approved or Rejected status updates and Outlook notifications. For error handling, we will wrap each action in a scope with a configure run after block. This keeps the flow from silently failing on permission or timeout issues. A couple of quick things to confirm: 1) Does the SharePoint list already have Status and Comments columns, or should we add those? 2) Should the approval route to a single group or a specific member within it? The number quoted here is a starting estimate. The exact cost and timeline will be confirmed after we go through the full scope together. Looking forward to talking through the details. Faizan

The tricky part of plugging into an existing SharePoint list is matching the approval logic to your current columns and views. I can build the full Power Automate flow with multi-stage approvals, email notifications, and status updates back to the list. Can start today and have it done in 2 days. These numbers are based on the description. Final scope depends on how many approval stages you need and any custom logic involved. Want to jump on a quick call?
