I’m in the middle of building a Microsoft Power Apps solution on Dataverse and Power Automate. Right now the priority is a backfill: I need to convert several imported text fields into proper Dataverse lookup relationships, keep every existing value intact, and be absolutely sure we don’t create duplicate parent records along the way. Here’s where I could really use your expertise: • Technical guidance for configuring those lookups end-to-end, including the quickest way to populate the relationships at scale (Power Automate, dataflow, or another approach). • Troubleshooting — I’m hitting a few lookup-related errors and want to understand exactly why they’re surfacing and how to eliminate them. Once the backfill is solid, I’d like to keep leaning on you for broader questions around data modeling and relationships across this solution. I’m an intermediate Dataverse user, so I’ll follow along quickly; what I need is a senior-level sounding board who can point out best-practice patterns, performance pitfalls, and smarter schema choices while I continue to develop. Deliverables for the initial engagement 1. A repeatable process (flow, script, or documented steps) that backfills the specified tables and fields with correct lookup references. 2. Clear explanations of the logic so I can tweak or extend it later. 3. A short call or screen share to confirm everything runs cleanly in my tenant. If this sounds like the kind of hands-on, collaborative work you enjoy, let’s connect and get the backfill knocked out first—then tackle the ongoing questions together.
