How I would run it: - Fresh Postfix install on your target (Ubuntu or Debian), virtual mailbox plus alias plus domain maps in PostgreSQL with proper grants and a read-only role for Postfix. - TLS via Let's Encrypt or your existing cert, mandatory on submission (587) and tested on 25 inbound. Reject anything weaker. - Dovecot SASL against PG so the same user table drives both delivery and auth. - DKIM, SPF and DMARC wired in so outbound mail does not land in spam. - Short ops runbook: how to add a domain, add a user, rotate keys, read the logs. Background: 20 years in Linux and sysadmin, Postfix and Dovecot as part of the regular toolchain, comfortable with PostgreSQL roles and grants.
