I need an experienced controls engineer who can design and implement an Allen-Bradley PLC-based control system for a semi-automated production line at our New Jersey site. The focus is on reliable material-handling and packaging operations that tie smoothly into the machines already on the floor. Here’s what I’m after: • Create robust control logic in Allen-Bradley hardware (CompactLogix or ControlLogix preferred) that coordinates conveyors, actuators, sensors, and safety devices. • Build a clear, operator-friendly HMI that presents real-time status, alarms, and recipe management with minimal training required. • Integrate the new code with the existing machinery so startup and changeovers are fast and painless. • Deliver complete documentation—IO lists, ladder/structured text prints, HMI screen maps, network diagrams, and a startup checklist. • Be on-site for commissioning, troubleshoot in real time, and hand off a fully functional system with any fine-tuning done before sign-off. A solid background in industrial automation, proven Allen-Bradley programming skills, and sharp problem-solving abilities are essential. If you’ve taken production lines from concept through turnover and enjoy hands-on work, I’d like to hear how you would approach this project and your earliest availability to visit the plant.
