I am currently tasked with developing and building out a portion of my company's Intranet Site. I am the Product Development Manager at a Mortgage Company in Scottsdale, Arizona. I have some basic knowledge of what this entails, and i have the outline for the site pages and content mapped out. I am solely responsible for a rather large section (and the most used portion) of the site as it pertains to product and processes.
I expect that this job will entail building out at least 15 Landing Pages with upwards of 20-30+ content site pages and they will all have to cross link back to one another. I have the style, images, text content, graphics and documents ready to go.
Our intranet platform is MediaWiki and it utilizes some General Code along with PHP and CSS Coding Language which I am not familiar with. I have a deadline of 30-days from now and I am needing help with the code and building it out so that it looks and flows more like a google website rather than a wiki page. We can even build out pages on another site so long as it can be secured for intranet purposes and not published for the general public if that will make it any less cumbersome and allow us to get more creative with the pages and design.
The pages that I am responsible for need to be very visual, my target audience are sales people on the go, they will not stop and read wiki after wiki if they just look like one long list of things to do. So I am challenged with how to make MediaWiki more visually appealing and easy to see most of what needs to be displayed on any one particular page without having to enable scrolling down a very long article to find what they need. I also need to avoid having things linked too much as I set a goal that no one item should be more than 2-3 clicks away.
If you are interested please reach out to me and we can discuss the project and possibly collaborating to work on this together.
