This is simply a vehicle Tracking & management system that contains three applications one is Android Based App to access the web interface by all users, the second one is web based application through which admin can control all the activities performed by the users on the applications or on the site and the third is an android driver management App. The android App for managing drivers is whereby drivers will have an access to android application only, there they have to create an account and maintain profile.
System consists of three types of users one is known as Administrator, Second one is Manager and the last one is user who will use this system, in addition to driver’s android management. Language for the usage of the users can be settled by the admin. The System shall have fleet management capabilities for instance service due management, insurance due management, license due management, fuel monitoring management, and others in addition to driver management.
Admin is responsible for all the activities done by the users. It allows the admin to confirm the registration of user along with their vehicles. Admin can track the vehicles with vehicle status that contains different elements in it which are listed below to notify the user where their vehicles will be located. Admin can manage users as well as the devices, can add/edit users and assign different roles to the managers. Admin can send notification to the users of different action performed with the status of the device along with the vehicle status and location. Different types of reports can be generated at the admin or any other users side by entering the vehicle numbers along with the start and end date then can print or download the report in the excel format. Trip summaries can be viewed by the admin or any other users as rights of access are assigned. The admin also creates accounts for the managers and set up login information and access rights for features.
Managers and users can perform only those activities which are assigned by the admin or giving access to the users only. Managers cannot assign manager access rights and duties to other managers. System enables the user to track their vehicles using different mechanism like “GPS” with the help of different protocols, which are already converted into digital format and available in MYSQL Database, and some device which will be inserted into the vehicle that will be used for the purpose of communication with vehicles. Firstly users have to select the language for the use of application. To access assigned features user account is first created by admin or manager on applications or on a web application that help the user to manage their profile settings for the future use. It permits the admin or manager to manage a vehicle which means that admin or manager have the option to register vehicles on this application and on the backend, information will be automatically stored on the server and client will be able to see all the information also on the web application. Users get notification of different actions performed like user crossed the fenced area, etc. Different kinds of the reports can be viewed or download by the user by verifying their vehicle number along with the starting and ending dates, and alerts of various histories. Users can use the play back option to view the previous trip histories.
The system shall also be programmed in PHP7, SSL and be compatible to mobile devices. A dedicated Cloud Server, LINUX BASED, shall be provided where the programmer will work from.
