I want to create an app that can be used on Kindle, smart phones, laptop, and desktop computers.
The app will allow readers to integrate the app with the ebooks they purchase to black out profanity they don't want to see. I don't want to erase the bad words as that would be changing the book and the author and publisher might get upset, so I just want to have a black box placed over the unwanted word.
I looked at this a couple of years ago and I was told that it could be done, but the book would need to be downloaded to another site each time someone pulled up the book to read it and then the scan would happen and the words blacked out. That would take too much time, so I was hoping that there was technology that could make this happen quickly where the reader could have the book scanned one time and the words blacked out for as long as they had the book so they wouldn't need to scan it again.
I want the app to allow the reader to choose one time which words they don't want to see so that those parameters would apply to each book they buy and scan. Also, I would like it set up so that if they wanted to see the word that is blacked out, they could click on the black out box and it would be erased so they could see the word.
