We need a robust web portal for 'Books Online Library' where customers/people can registered and order a book for reading; this book will be delivered by our executives to the customer and picked up after he/she is done reading of the book. We need a Admin Control Panel for tracking customers according to books due & books returned + with some general info to segregate customers according to books/ purchases etc.
1.1 customers should be able to register + Registration fee(one-time/not life-time) + Security fee (refundable)
1.2 customers once registered should be able to login via given username / password details + should be able to edit/update - profile / password / etc.
1.3 once customer logged in – he/she should be able to see category of books (new / featured/ Top seller / Top 100 / etc.)
1.4 once customer clicks on a book or multiple books & adds to his cart / he or she should be charged according to (no. of books per 3months / 6months / 12months) the time period the book is assigned for + delivery charge according to geo-location. (free till 2 km radius)
1.5 complete pricing model for library membership – based on 3months 6 months 12 months & no. of books (for e.f 1 book / 2 books / …../ 12 books)
1.6 should not allow people to register from different city / country – other than mentioned
2.1 this is not a simple book purchase like [url removed, login to view] / [url removed, login to view] / or [url removed, login to view] – likewise model
2.2 this model is based on memberships (i.e. subscription model 3 months / 6 months / 12 months) the cart pricing depends upon how many books the customer is going to choose for reading.
2.3 Some kind of function is required for returning the books (Delivery & Pick-up) + A delivery team executive will deliver as well as pick-up once the book is due (some kind of alert system i.e. via SMS or Email - on admin Control panel)
2.4 standard e-commerce pages like books(shop) / my account / profile / cart / checkout etc.
2.5 this books have to be categorised by Title / Author /ISBN code / Internal code or RFID system
2.6 Payment gateway – robust – with minimum yearly charges – max 3% + small fee per transaction - ( Net Banking + CC + DC + PayTM payment modules)
3. Admin Console
3.1 functionality should have basics like analytics / purchase records / sales reports / etc.
3.2 time tracking – as in – books due / books returned according to customers (books due can be in red colour / picked-up should be in green / with customer should be in orange/yellow)
3.3 books – How many books are out at that point in time
3.4 customer details – like – Name / Mobile / Email / Address / should be access-able easily to export in .xls / .pdf / .doc
3.5 this admin console should be user-friendly for admins to add new books & other information on daily basis.
4. UX / UI
4.1 Should be simple yet articulate / user friendly / responsive / should have good work-flow
4.2 Wire-framing : before actual development
4.3 mock-up's / PSD's if possible
4.4 Functionality & options for SEO / Security / Firewall / analytics / webmaster / email marketing / SMS for customers/ etc.
