To prevent automated scripts from using my contact form I added a simple jpg image of a verification code ([url removed, login to view]) and a field for the user to input this code. The fields and image are already added to the contact page but since I don't know PHP I need someone to make a small change to the PHP script for the verification to function.
The script should check if the code which the user entered matches my predefined code (this code can just be written in the PHP script). If the code is correct, the entered information will be sent using the formmail function. If the code is not correct it would be best if an error message could be shown right below the verfiy field, without deleting the already entered information of the other fields.
This should be very simple because I intend to use only one image which always shows the same code. What I imagine is that you just need to enter a simple IF statement like "IF verify="1234" then formmail else ...
The source code of the contact page and the image file are included here as uploaded files. Please change the source code to function as described.
Optional: If you know how to change the formmail script so the email address of the user is included in the message as sender, this would be great, but it's not necessary for this project.
If you can do this for less than $30, please let me know in a PM. Please describe briefly what your solution will look like.
