Single Domain Checkout for Magento 1.9.x Multi Store

For various reasons we need a single checkout domain in our magento 1.9.x multi domain store. This means all stores should go to one domain to process the order and payment. This page needs to be a OnePageCheckout / onestepcheckout. We’ve open for suggestions, we’re looking at ([login to view URL] or [login to view URL]) but like I said we’re open for suggestion.
What we ideally is to have the customer shop around in the store (domain) they come in on. Then add items to their cart, show the cart in the original store and then let them press a button saying “Go to checkout” with a text bellow showing it’s forwarding to another domain.
That domain should be a subdomain for our main URL. [login to view URL] or similar. From there customer goes to onepagecheckout to checkout his items, update shipping and pay for his order.

We need magento code to be as least modified as possible and all items like my account should function normally. Furthermore once the order is finalized the cart should be emptied. Also all customers should have an account auto-created and/or be able to log in to their account. Analytics code will be enabled with cross domain tracking and a sale should only be final when it’s checked out. We also like the programmer “clean” our sites to make sure all of them meet PageSpeed Insights and W3C standards since we’re programming anyways.
