NOTE: This job is posted for a service provider that I have used previously.
It is a simple keyword search for a textile company catalogue that I wrote in php. The code for the site was used in the jewellery website.
They want to be able to search on the following database fields (all in the PRODUCT table):
Product code, product name, product description, composition, and weight.
I want it set up so they select which field they want to search on, then enter the search term.
The search needs to be able to ignore whether the user has used upper or lower case characters.
The results need to be returned as a list of product names with the corresponding hyperlink including the product id - to enable users to click on the product names and get the full product info sheet.
I just want the scripting and basic search form with results in a list - I will format the results to match the design of the rest of the website.
The selection of the search term type should be from a dropdown box.
The code should clean-up user entered characters.
There are a few searches based on drop down lists already working.
You can see everything in Firefox for this site (though there are some formatting issues).
