The order refers to undertaking work aimed at optimizing the operation of the source code in PYTHON for the "bitcoin-abe" application.
"Bitcoin-abe" is nothing more than a tool that has the task of creating a local transaction database from blockchain by reading any data from .blk files (that is simply extracted from previously from the synchronized blockchain on the disk of the official Bitcoin Core application).
The code has not been modified for some time due to unknown reasons, and the fact of possible conflicts in the code is due to the fact that since then - other people have been developing code support (eg handling of SegWit transactions since 2017, which was created by a different person than main code).
The open source code for the latest support ever released is available here: [login to view URL]
As I intend to launch a BTC website soon - I would like to successfully carry out the process of creating a blockchain database from .blk files and have a blockchain database locally without having to use the blockchain API.
Here are the expectations I have for the above version:
a) code swap / optimization / creation of [login to view URL] regarding system startup on more modern nginx systems with php7.3 and fcgi (until now both description of how readme and code are optimized under apache2 with cgi + various base types). The script MUST only work on MySQL MariaDB 10.3 (TokuDB plugin) on nginx resources. If there is a better alternative for TokuDB - then we use the better version about which I do not know :-) In this matter, I am also open to possible suggestions for a different configuration, because the NGINX + TokuDB set may already be prehistory, and I missed the technology by trying to run successfully on this configuration :-)
b) eliminating errors in the database (example error: [login to view URL]) [which is mainly spreading]
c) elimination of unnecessary processes that affect a long time necessary to create a database (examination of logs shows that a lot of data is processed only to additionally waste time removing them because they are unnecessary).
d) optional migration from Python2 to Python3
e) an optional automated installer from the level of the browser, which will create the appropriate config for nginx itself, enable the necessary services and create a database with tables.
I am open to any suggestions and suggestions, because I expect that I'm not exactly "on time" in terms of technological solutions, and only I am the end user who for almost a year still tries to run this system in spite of having 24GB RAM and NVMe disks best parameters.
