This project is to build the foundations and early stages of a web-based Document Assembly application using [login to view URL] as the backend document generation service. The most likely design of the application may be in PHP using [login to view URL]
A Document Assembly application interviews the user and then uses the answers from that interview to generate a completed document. At this stage the interview process only asks text based questions and uses the data entered to populate fields in the document (which is a simple template).
A sample Document Assembly (and one that can be referred to to determine how a similar system works) is located at [login to view URL]
One of the ultimate goals is to make something close to [login to view URL] That means that the creation of the templates will have to be made easy and based on real Microsoft Word files. The full replication of that site is not at this stage, but want to make sure any design stays with that in mind.
The programmer will need to design a flexible way to store and define how an interview flows. Although this stage will not include a flow of interview questions (where one answer may determine if and how future questions are presented), that will be the second stage,
The base document that will form the template will be a word-based document and will be formatted to work with livedocx. However, for testing and development, programmer will have to create his/her own document and interview.
Basic familiarity with document assembly application is a must for developing this application. The end goal after all stages of this project is an application similar to Exari with addition features. This goal should be kept in mind.
At this stage, all that is needed is a basic application where simple interviews and a simple template is attached that will generate document based on the answers to that interview.
