PHP / Database code troubleshooting

Hello, mysql commonly closes connections if it reaches connections limit. How do You connect to Your database and do You close its connection after You insert data? Also there can be some issues with script execution time, connection timeout not enough ram/swap on mysql server

Hello, in first i see using of two engines to work with mysql in one script $con = mysql_connect(DB_HOST, DB_USER, DB_PASS); mysql_select_db(DB_DATABASE); new DB(DB_HOST, DB_USER, DB_PASS, DB_DATABASE); You'll decrease connection count twice when use one mysql_xxxx or PDO instead of both. Also when you reached mysql connections limit you can try connect few times with small sleep between tries.

Anyhow, you should measure the average time it takes to scrape the data from the API which might be the reason it causes the bottleneck. You should also tamper with the maximum connections limit in your PHP configuration. If nothing of the above works, you should optimize your MySQL queries.
